Sydney, Australia | May 21, 2013 Street corner light. Most Australia’s patiently wait for a green light before crossing the street (making for great street photography subjects). As a NYer I find totally crazy - to not jaywalk. Except that I’m never looking in the right direction for oncoming traffic in Australia. Cleveland, OH | May 9, 2013 I ran into Simonte Bowen as I was wandering around the downtrodden Cleveland neighborhood where Ariel Castro held 3 women prisoner for the last decade. We spoke about the news, about its repercussions for the neighborhood, and life in America in general. After a long talk about cheap tattoos, Simonte asked me whether it was better to enlist in the Navy or Army. He was looking for a better future, and wondered which service would better educate him.
